Netflix has rolled out a new streaming service for its customers, offering access to the vast majority of the world’s major networks and offering exclusive access to new shows and movies.
The service is the first time Netflix has offered the widest selection of streaming services in its history, according to Netflix.
The new service, called Netflix On Demand, lets subscribers watch shows and films from the likes of Fox, ESPN, HBO and more.
Netflix OnDemand is available in the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, New Zealand and Singapore.
Netflix also introduced a new service dubbed Netflix Pass, which offers a “faster, simpler and cheaper way to access and watch millions of TV shows and TV series across more than 100 countries, across the world and across all major platforms,” the company said.
Netflix is currently available on more than 200 devices, including Apple TV, Roku, Apple TV 2, Roku 2, AppleTV 3, Samsung TV, Google Chromecast, Apple Fire TV, Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Windows 10 and more, the company added.
The company is also offering access through Amazon Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Smart TV devices.
The most popular content available on Netflix is movies, including some of the most acclaimed films of all time including Avatar, Titanic, The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The Netflix On demand service is also the first to offer a subscription-based streaming option, with users able to pay monthly fees of $9.99 for access to a monthly allotment of shows and movie titles.
Netflix has also added a $5.99-per-month subscription to the service for subscribers who sign up for its “Unlimited Video Plan” program, allowing users to watch as many movies and TV shows as they want.
Netflix on Demand subscribers can access more than 1,000 TV shows in more than 130 countries and territories, with over 600 original TV series and more than 50 movies.
