Cartoon Network has begun to invest in childcare and is looking at partnering with other providers, according to sources close to the company.
The network, which launched in 2012, is focused on original content such as “Adventure Time,” “Family Guy,” and “My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.”
It is also looking at partnerships with brands, such as Target and the NFL.
Cartoon Network said in a statement to USA Today that the company has invested in “a broad portfolio of media assets.”
The news comes just a week after the company’s parent company, Disney, said it would be investing in an “adult entertainment platform” that would include a “media network” for children.
